Prince George’s County offers resources for individuals struggling with behavioral and emotional health.

If you or someone you know has a mental health or substance use concern, you´re not alone. TLC-MD offers free behavioral health services and education to the residents of Prince George´s County, Insurance is not required.

If you’re an individual in Prince George’s County, MD with a mental health and/or substance use concern, there may be free or low-cost local programs you can access if eligible. Insurances are accepted.

National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

Call or text 988 for 24/7/365 support hotline. You can also call 911 for life-threatening emergencies or to be transferred to 988.

Logo Mobile Reponse Team

Mobile Response Team

Connect 24/7 with mental health responders specially trained to provide immediate crisis support in person within one hour or less anywhere in the county. The team consists of two people. It includes a mental health clinician and a mental tech, or peer support specialist who has lived experience, to provide you with additional support. Call (301) 429-2185 or call the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 and request the MRT.

Wrap-Around Care

If you’ve experienced a mental health crisis and have inpatient psychiatric care or repeated visits to the Emergency Department, you may be eligible for support for 31 days after your discharge. To qualify you must be referred to Mindoula from a participating hospital.

Crisis Stabilization Center

The Dyer Care Center is a 24/7/365 that is coming soon to Prince George’s county, MD. It offers short-term, personalized emergency crisis service for residents facing mental health and/or substance use challenges.(Coming Soon*)

Referrals and Linkages

Treating professionals provide a warm hand-off for services to ensure your continued recovery. You will be linked to the best available providers who will offer services consistent with your needs as well as cultural and linguistic preferences. Peers serve in our programs and are a crucial part of our teams. They use their own lived experiences to engage clients in treatment and support you in your recovery journey. Transportation assistance/services may be available if you qualify to help you keep your appointments. For more information click here.

A one-stop service for specialized behavioral health treatment where police or family members can drop off patients for care. Specialists can also refer you or a loved one how to get follow-up treatment.

Peers serve in our treatment program and are a crucial part of our teams. Peers use their own lived experience to engage clients in treatment. Peers will support you in your recovery and will share tips that will help you along your recovery journey.
