What is the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP)?
The National DPP is a lifestyle change program that can help people at risk for type 2 diabetes build and maintain healthy eating and physical activity habits that can last a lifetime.
Why should I join?

People with prediabetes who join this program can cut their risk of developing type 2 diabetes in half.

The program can also lower the risk of a heart attack or stroke and improve your overall health.

How often are the sessions?
There are weekly group sessions in the first six months and then monthly sessions in the second six months. You can choose to attend in-person or virtual sessions.
Is there a cost to participate in the program?
This program is covered by most insurances with no out-of-pocket costs. If you don’t have insurance, you may be eligible to receive assistance for services at no or low cost to you.
What happens when I join the Program?

A trained lifestyle coach will work with you to set goals for losing weight, reducing stress, increasing physical activity, and eating healthier for an overall healthy lifestyle. You will also build lasting and supportive relationships with other participants in the program.
